Mexican International 2-8-0 "Consolidation" Type Locomotives

Class G-36 (Locobase 9487)

Data from Angus Sinclair (ed), "Baldwin 2-8-0 for the Internacional Mexicano", Railway and Locomotive Engineering, December 1903, p. 563 and from NdeM 1946 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in May 2005 by Allen Stanley from his extensive collection.

These were substantial Consolidations when they went into service on the IM. That railroad was taken over by the state-run Nacional de Mexico in 1911. They were never superheated or otherwise substantially modified. One was scrapped in July 1946; all of the others retired in September 1953.
