Class 23 / C-34 - 27.2 (Locobase 7818)

Locobase 7819 describes the orgins of this southern Texas railroad. The current entry shows a Consolidation of modest proportions and small drivers; few superheated 2-8-0s were as small.

The 3 engines were among the newest of the SA, U & G's stud when it was taken over by the NO, T & M in the 1920s. 1003 and 1001 were scrapped at Palestine, Tex in May and September 1934, respectively.
