Steam Locomotives Abandoned in Lima Quarry
I keep hearing stories of a steam engine that was used in a stone quarry
that was abandoned when the quarry was involved in a catistrophic flood
event. The quarry apparently was not reopened and all equipment abandoned.
The location is Lima, Ohio near Bluelick Road and Sugar Street. I have also
been told that this abandoned locomotive was finally resqued and is now
on display at the Allen County Historical Society in Lima. Can anyone confirm
that this is the same locomotive?
