Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 28 (Locobase 13998)

Data from a table in 1947 Locomotive Cyclopedia, considerably supplemented by Negative 13435 of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, supplied by Bryan Norden to [],194903,194951#msg-194951 on 15 July 2011, last accessed 26 March 2012. Works numbers were 70334-70335 in 1944, 72242-72243 in 1945, and 73355-73358 in 1946.

In the 1940s, the Girardot, the Pacifico, and the Cundinamarca each ordered a medium-size Mountain of identical specifications to operate on the 3-foot gauge. Not many 4-8-2s on either the Metre or Cape gauges were bigger.
