Class 441 (Locobase 7945)

Data from [] photo and data website, last accessed 16 November 2006 and from Maurice Demoulin, Traite Pratique de la Machine Locomotive (Paris: Libraire Polytechnique, Baudry et Cie, 1898), pp. 77.

The SACM delivered these locomotives in batches from two different works. Grafenstaden supplied 25 (works #3536-3560) and Belfort produced the other 20 (works # 3756-3775).

Operating from sheds at ChGlons, Reims, Nancy, Troyes, Chaumont, Neufchateau, STzanne, Bar le Duc, Verdun, Epinal, and Chalindrey, these engines served mixed-traffic trains as well as connecting service to major long-distance trains.
