Data from A E Durrant, Locomotives of Eastern Europe (New York: Augustus M Kelley, Publishers, 1966), pp. 147, 150. See [], last accessed 31 December 2021 for production data. Works numbers were 2738-2743 in 1915.
Although hailing from the small Wilkes-Barre, PA builder, these were, Durrant, wrote, "as European as an American tank engine can be."Data from "Lokomotivska serijia 61", Skice I Podatci Lokomotiva (Zagreb: JDZ, 1955), p.41; and A[thony] Edward Durrant, The Locomotives of Eastern Europe (Newton Abbot, 1966), pp.124, 134. Delivered by Henschel (works numbers 8574-8577 in 1907), Hohenzollen (2783-2786 in 1911), and Schwartzkopf 5278-5283 in 1914).
Durrant wrote that these were shunters (switchers) were of "typically Germanic design." (NB: The 1955 JDZ diagram used the 41 mm internal (fire side) diameter for its tube heating surface area calculation. Thus, the THS came to 73.1 (787 sq ft), which combined with direct heating surface area to equal 78.91 sq m (849 sq ft). Locobase uses the external (water side diameter provided in the diagram to simplify comparisons with the Anglo-American preference for the external diameter.)Data from "Lokomotivska serijia 122", Skice I Podatci Lokomotiva (Zagreb: JDZ, 1955), p.50; and A[thony] Edward Durrant, The Locomotives of Eastern Europe (Newton Abbot, 1966), pp.124, 134. Delivered by Henschel (works numbers 8574-8577 in 1907), Hohenzollen (2783-2786 in 1911), and Schwartzkopf 5278-5283 in 1914). Class data from []. Wiener-Neustadt works numbers were 4794-4798 in 1908. Hohenzollern delivered the second batch as works numbers 2778-2782 in 1911. Arad produced one locomotive with works number 63.
Described as a variant of the Hungarian MAV's 338 class, this set of small goods locomotives were delivered originally to the SDZ. In 1916, however, the entire class came under Bosnia-Herzogovina control and took new numbers. In order of the original delivery sequence, they now bore 183-187, 150 (2), 179-182, and 148 (2)
