Duluth & Northern Minnesota Mikados

The Duluth & Northern Minnesota was a logging railroad based in Knife River, MN. The railroad was no longer viable in 1919 and it was abandoned. Among the steam locomotives it owned was a Baldwin-built 2-8-2 numbered 14. Number 14 was bought by and used on the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad.

Number 14 was brought to Minnesota and in 1992 was restored to run excursions on the North Shore Scenic Railroad. It was withdrawn from excursion service in October 1998 and is now in storage at the Lake Superior Transportation Museum in Duluth, MN.
