In 1923 and 1925, seven more Lima built "Mikados" were delivered. They were assigned road numbers 320-326. These new locomotives were similar to the earlier 2-8-2s except they were 6 tons heavier and had a higher boiler pressure, which resulted in an increased tractive effort.
There were six other "Mikados" on the Georgia Railroad. Two Alco built 2-8-2s were purchased from the CCC&StL in February, 1937. They were received in "unservicable" condition and were rebuilt before entering service. They were assigned road numbers 305 & 306. Four Baldwin built 2-8-2s were bought from the Clinchfield in 1943 and were given road numbers 331-334.
There is one surviving Georgia Railroad 2-8-2 "Mikado" type locomotives, number 302, on display at the Augusta Museum in Augusta, GA.
