Data from Record of Recent Construction #54 (Baldwin Locomotive Works, 1905), p. 26-27. See also DeGolyer, Volume 27, p. 279. Works numbers were 25997 and 26016 in July 1905.
According to Baldwin, this pair of six-coupled radial tanks (to use the British terminology) were intended for switching duties. Each was named - #1 as shown in the specs, #2 as Jose Ignacio Vergara. The design had an oversized cab and the firebox located behind the last driver; the trailing axle sat under the cab.
