FC Santa Fe 2-6-2 Locomotives in Argentina

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class VIII (Locobase 3741)

Data from Carlos Alberto Fern+ndez Priotti in Bryan Attewell ([link] Steam Locomotive simulator program (April 2000).

Mixed-traffic locomotives delivered from a Swiss builder in 1909-1910.

Class X (Locobase 3743)

Data from Carlos Alberto Fern+ndez Priotti in Bryan Attewell ([link] Steam Locomotive simulator program (April 2000).

Fernandez has a confusing comment about these engines, noting that some of them were converted from Series 8 to Series 10 engines. About the only difference Locobase could see is a slightly larger boiler (with the same heating surface areas). It's possible that these are Class VIII survivors that were much later reboilered and renumbered at the same time.
