Data from DeGolyer, Vol 72, pp. 183+. Carlos Alberto Fern+ndez Priotti in Bryan Attewell ([] Steam Locomotive simulator program (April 2000) and other sources. Works numbers were 53283, 53302, 53320, 53332-53333 in June 1920; 53384-53388, 53414-53418, 53471-53477 in July; and 53514, 53565-53566, 54965, 55211-55212 in August.
These 25 Mikados were the last batch built to a standard design. Fernandez observes that these duplicated the basic specs of the earlier C7 through C10 Mikes, but that they added a superheater and modified sandboxes. Also, the trailing axle was fitted with outside bearings and was a radial type. The track, rated only "fair" in the specs, weighed 75 lb/yard (37.5 kg/metre) wand was supported 1,393 sleepers per km (2,243 per mile).
A total of 125 were supplied for narrow-gauge operation in 1918-1921. They had open bar frames, Belpaire firebox behind a boiler with one small dome, and a relatively large tender.

Fernandez says these were part of a large 100-locomotive order from Hannover, Borsig, Henschel, and North British. It isn't clear to me if they were all C9 class and all intended for the Central Norte.

Fernandez notes that these are C9s upgraded with a superheater and "otras modificaciones menoras." Note, though, that the boiler has a smaller diameter and the tubes are shorter, which suggests rather a larger makeover.
