Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class unknown (Locobase 5888)

Data from Douglas Colquhoun's entries presented in the Australian national railway museum site: [] (visited 14 October 2003).

This Prairie tank - works #3357-- proved too heavy for the Broken Hill line, so South Australian and BHP swapped engines for a while. (BHP used #11 of the V class). In 1901, the locomotive found its permanent home in Whyalla, working the Hummock Hill tramway until 1962. Now preserved.
