Class 101/411/551 (Locobase 21076)

FF CC de Bolivia 1958 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in August 2022 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Rail Data Exchange collection. See also [link], accessed 19 August 2007, and Martin Coombs, Bolivian steam locomotive list (October 2020), downloaded from [link]), p. 19. Works numbers were 1102-1103 in 1912.

This Leeds-built "Berkshire" tank used two more axles than comparably sized and contemporaneous Consolidations on the FCB. Although sub-standard in gauge, their proportions implied a bigger locomotive than their dimensions depict. Never superheated nor converted to piston valves, the engines nevertheless represented a sturdy pair of freighters.

They lasted at least until 1965 when Empresa Nacional de los Ferrocarriles del Estado (ENFE) gave them their final 500-series numbers.
