Leonard Kennedy & company purchased these saddle tanks to shift the 184,000 square metres (898,000 sq ft or 20.6 acres) of Castle Hill out of the center of Rio de Janeiro. The contractor began work on the project in 1922. The quartet of 0-6-0STs moved earth as the excavators
