Data from DeGolyer, Volume 79, pp. 292+. See also "E F da Usina Salgado" at [], last accessed 21 September 2013. Works number was 60951 in August 1929.
Located in Ipojuca, Pernambuco, the Usina Salgado produced sugar cane when they bought this eight-coupled plantation tank. At the time their railway covered 45 km (28 miles), operated five locomotives and eight cars. 500 tonnes (561 tons) of sugar cane or 6,000 litres (1,585 US gallons) of alcohol were processed in 22 hours.
