Cantareira Tramway 2-4-0 Locomotives in Brazil

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 2 (Locobase 13344)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 39, p. 263-264. Works number was 37399 in December 1911.

If the small Mogul produced for the Cantareina at the same time (Locobase 13343) was petite, how much more toylike must have been this six-wheeler? It trailed the same type of tender, which held 65 bushels of coke and negotiated the same lightweight (15-kg/metre // 30-lb/yard) rail.

It was later sold to the Industrial E de F de Perus-Pirapora as their #17.
