Muzambinho 2-6-0 Locomotives in Brazil

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 10 (Locobase 12201)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 20, p. 143. Works number was 14826 in May 1896.

This Mogul's firebox was shorter and deeper than the earlier #9 (Locobase 16053). There were bigger engines in the metre class, but the 10 had a nice balance of power to weight of grate to boiler.

Class 9 (Locobase 16053)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 20, p. 68. Works number was 14616 in December 1895.

This Mogul was identical to the earlier Jaffa-Jerusalem quintet (Locobase 16052) delivered in 1890 and 1892. The 10, which arrived a year later, had a deeper, shorter firebox; see Locobase 12201.
