Class 6 (Locobase 15183)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Vol 66, p. 365 and Vol 72, pp. 159+. See also the account at [link], last accessed 8 May 2013. Works numbers were 53375 in July 1920 and 57668 in March 1924.

Purchased by the Williams Company, these little wood-burning Moguls worked for a long-running sugar central that opened in 1881 in Pernambuco State just northwest of Recife as the Central Mill Spo Lourento da Mata. The sugar mill was bought by the British-owned Northern Brazillian Sugar Factories Company and renamed Usina Ti+ma. The mill remained in operation for over 90 years and by the mid-1920s had 61 km (37.9 miles) of railway.
