Class 3 (Locobase 21125)

Data from Alco class 280-81 Order C-556 builder's card supplied in February 2023 by Teemu Koivumaki..Works numbers were 60512-60514 in June 1919.

Immediately following the two Ten-wheelers destined for the Tubarao a Ararangua, Cooke began turning out these Consolidations for the same railway. But its primary customer--the Brazilian government--diverted the trio to the DTC.

Its design served as the template for several Brazilian government orders in this period.
