Compared to the earlier engines, these were considerably smaller in the boiler, but larger in firebox and grate area. Their tenders held up to three cords of wood).

Teemu Koivumaki's 14 February 2023 email reported the 2-8-2s only spent a year on IFCOS before being transferred to the Rede de Viacao Cearense in 1924.
