Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 2 (Locobase 13864)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 39, pp. 233. Works numbers were 36312-36313 in March 1911and 39010-39013 in January 1913.

The first Baldwin product for the E de F de Marica was a little six-wheeler shown in Locobase 13865. It was immediately followed by the 2 and 3, which were Ten-wheelers that had the same number of tubes of greater length. That was the template for the next set, which were produced almost 2 years later.

This class was later renumbered by the Central do Brasil out of sequence as follows: 1047, 1046, 1049-1050, 1045, 1048.
