Data from Alco class 462 S 127 Order C-637 builder's card supplied in February 2023 by Teemu Koivumaki..Works numbers were 62420, 62503-62505 in November 1920.

Brokers Carlos Barbosa and Alfredo Chaves ordered this quartet of relatively big and powerful Pacifics from the longer-lived Paterson, NJ subsidiary of the American Locomotive Company. By this time, a wood-burning grate was rare in new locomotives; this group's tenders carried 3 1/2 cords.
