These Moguls went through several renumberings, but kept their names: Plovdiv, Arda, Sofia, Tundza, Burgas, Dunav. They were rated at 145 tons up a 2.5% grade at 15 km/h (15.5 mph). According to Trifonov, these pulled the Orient Express and conventional passenger trains on the Tzarigrad-Belovo section until their retirement.
The boiler had a weird arrangement of two steam domes connected by a dry pipe which was intercepted by a shorter dome.
