Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 19, p. 94. See also CN Steam Locomotive Diagrams Assorted supplied in August 2013 by Allen Stanley Works numbers were 13993-13994 in April 1894, 14310-14312 in April 1895, and 15065-15066 in October 1896.
Although bought as a pair for the CAR (roster sources say the Ottawa, Amprior & Perry Sound), the first two of these mid-sized Moguls were sent to different parts of the Canadian railroad system when the CAR was divided up in 1905. 63 joined the Grand Trunk as class E-5 and numbered 2356, but was sold to the Grand Trunk Pacific in March 1914, where she received number 44. She was scrapped in July 1925.
64 also joined the Grand Trunk's E-5 class as 2357, but stayed there much longer, only going to the Canadian National in 1923 in class D-4-a and numbered 495. She too was scrapped in July 1925.
A year later, according to Baldwin's specification page, three more went directly to the Canada Atlantic as their 67-69 and two in 1896 as 70-71. (Several roster lists and Gene Connelly's Baldwin production file show this group as first bound for the Central Vermont, later sold to the Vermont & Province Line, then to the CAR). These engines had similar careers to that of the 63 as they too were reassigned to the GTP as 45-49. In 1920 all five were taken into the CNR in 1920 as 490-494 and all were scrapped in August 1925.
Data from TStL&W's 1911 locomotive diagram book supplied in May 2005 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Rail Data Exchange. Works numbers were 1838-1839 in September 1887.
Although ordered by the Toledo, St Louis & Kansas City and road numbered 23-24, these two Moguls were diverted to the Canada Atlantic. After two renumberings, the pair was taken into the Grand Trunk, where they were renumbered twice, then scrapped in 1919.
