Champlain & St. Lawrence 4-2-0 Locomotives in Canada

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Jason C Pierce / C (Locobase 4832)

Loco Profile 11 (Brian Reed, 1971) says that this type, offered as part of a standard series of four 4-2-0 types in the late 1830s was the least widely sold. Itr appears to belong to the C&StL because their early 4-2-0s were apparently quite similar. Of the four Norris types, these were by far the least powerful..

The Jason C Pierce was converted to a 4-4-0 arrangement in 1844 and remained on the C&StL until 1850.
