Data from "Narrow Gauge Locomotive for Ceylon", The Locomotive Magazine, Vol 20 (15 September 1914), p. 237.
This engine was designed to burn wood and run on very light rail under very tight axle loading constraints. LM's report said that the answer lay in putting all of the valve motion outside the frames, which opened up the inside to shift the firebox forward "well over the driving axle".
