Class Laurita (Locobase 20879)

Data from "Vulcan Iron Works Germain y Sierra Order Data and Photos" supplied in April 2021 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Rail Data Exchange collection; and "Vulcan Iron Works negatives 1971.210" finding aid downloaded from the Hagley Museum website at [link], last accessed 25 April, 2021; and Martin Coombs, "0-6-0ST d/w 30", cyls. 11"x16", built by Vulcan Iron Works in 1909", Chilean steam locomotives lists, Part 3 Metre-Gauge locos (October 2020), p. 49 -available at [link], last accessed 25 April 2021. Vulcan Iron WorksWorks numbers were 1414-1415 in 1909.

Unfortunately, the Vulcan specification did not include heating surface areas or grate area. Locobase estimated the grate area, but is willing to be corrected.

The two six-coupled saddle tanks were named "Laurita" and "Olguita".
