2-10-2 Steam Locomotives in China

Lunghai

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 61?/ST 3 (Locobase 21289)

Data from Krupp im Dienst der Dampflokomotive (Essen, Germany: Krupp, 1940), pp.105.

The Essen-based builder presented this set of Santa Fe-type freight locomotives as duplicates of the Tientsin-Pukow locomotives shown in Locobase 21288. Locobase hasn't been able to find any Lunghai works numbers in the Friedrich Krupp builder's list.

The only other 2-10-2s sent to China were six Chung-Hsiing Mining Company in two batches of three (works numbers 1708-1710, 1730-1732 in 1938). The railway numbered them 61-66. Could these be the ST 3s?
