Imperial Chinese 2-6-0 Locomotives in China

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 101 (Locobase 10517)

Data from "The Imperial Chinese Railways and Rolling Stock," The Locomotive Magazine, Vol XI [11] (15 July 1905), p. 120.

This was part of a large set of orders for locomotives for the burgeoning Chinese railway system. But as the report noted, delays in deliveries could be attributed to the "Boxer troubles" as well as to the Russo-Japanese War that was nearing its end. This was the smallest of the six engines profiled.
