Peking-Mukden 2-6-0 Locomotives in China

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 16 (Locobase 20558)

Data from "The Government Railways of North China, the Pekin-Mukden Ry", Locomotive Magazine, Volume XXII [22] (15 August 1916), p. 165.

This mixed-traffic Mogul had a sloping grate which caused the builder to set the rear axle 2 1/4 ft (686 mm) further away from the second axle than the second was from the first. A straight boiler led back to a slightly bigger firebox. Outside cylinders were fed by inside valves.
