Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 29 (Locobase 12048)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 18, p 98. Works numbers 13051-13052, 13054 in November 1892.

This trio were large examples of six-coupled tank engines used on the Cape Gauge. Indeed, its dimensions suggest that Baldwin took a standard-gauge Mogul and dropped it onto a 42"-gauge frame.
