Data from DeGolyer, Volume 64, pp. 335. Works numbers were 54314 in January 1921..
Like the Santa Catalina locomotive shown in Locobase 14869, this plantation saddle tank was originally ordered by one customer, but resold to another. In the present case, the Manati engine was to have gone to the Central Washington, but was delivered instead to the MSC.
A note specifies that "details to be arranged so that locomotive can readily be changed to burn oil fuel."
