Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 11 (Locobase 14907)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 64, p. 382. (Thanks to Ivo Rutishauser for correcting the railway's name.) Works numbers were 48683 in May 1918 and 49554-49555 in August.

These six-coupleds were ordered as wood-burners, but wereconverted to soft coal fuel before delivery. The specs show the engines being lettered for the C a M. Gene Connelly's list shows that 13 later (or perhaps always) operated on behalf of the Central Narcisa in Yaguajay. When the CN was nationalized after the 1959 Revolucion, it was renamed for Obdulio Morales and the 13 was renumbered 1137.
