Salinera de Punta Palmilla

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Salinera (Locobase 14919)

Data from DeGolyer, Vol 64, pp. 229. Works number was 53445 in July 1920.

A tiny six-coupled design, this engine was described as a plantation locomotive. Its owner processed salt, however. Locobase notes that the design was produced as a saddle tank a few months later for a Hawaiian sugar grower (Locobase 14752), but cannot say if the Salinera was converted to gasoline power like the sugar engine.
