Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 64, p. 24. Works numbers were 53309-53310 in June 1920 and 55731 in November 1922.
Two sugar mills bore the name Central Isabel. One was owned by the British Beattie & Company and was located in the town of Media Luna in Oriente Province. It lay southwest of Manzanillo. The other belonged to Guantánamo Sugar Company and was headquartered in Guantánamo
These oil-burning plantation Moguls were typical sugar engines of the time. The first two were obviously satisfactory enough to prompt the purchase of a third two years later.
The Beattie & Company's Central Isabel was renamed for Juan Manuel Marquez after the expropriation of private businesses following the 1959 Revolucion. The Guantánamo mill was renamed for the country of Honduras.
