Typical Baldwin standard-gauge plantation Moguls, these two burned oil fuel. This sugar mill had opened on 12 July 1917 at Los Palacios, Pinar del Rio Province, as Central Virginia after only 196 days under construction. Los Palacios is 71 miles (114 km) southwest of Havana.

Central Virginia was renamed in 1918.
