Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Luisa (Locobase 13626)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 27, p. 95, Volume 28, p. and Volume 31, p. 74 .See also Martin Coombs, Part 18, Industrial Railways of Cuba, Industrial steam locomotives list (October 1924), p 171 at [] . . Works numbers were 24810 in November 1904, 26466 in September 1905, and 32083 in October 1907. (Owners' names were recorded as Cuba Sugar Refining Co (1904) and Cuban American Sugar co (1906 and 1907).

The specs for these sugar-plantation Moguls stressed that the weight on the drivers be "...as much as practicable without total weight exceeding 104,000 lb [4,094 kg].". The engines rolled on 30 lb/yard (15 kg/metre) rail.

Connelly's Baldwin production list shows all three as eventually operated by the Central Tinguaro.
