Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 64, p. 318. Works number was 54024 in November 1920.

The HC had bought 2-8-0s from Baldwin several times before, but came back to Eddystone for a oil-burning plantation Mogul. By this time the mill had laid standard-gauge track and needed a bigger engine.
