Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 4 (Locobase 14915)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 64, p. 327. Works number was 53918 in October 1920.

This sugar processing mill was located near the port of CaibariTn in Matanzas Province. The plantation Mogul the company bought from Eddystone was nearly identical to a few dozen other such engines in Cuba. The 4 had smaller drivers and weighed a little more than the average.

The 4 was later sold to Central Santa Rita. When that central was nationalized after the 1959 Revolucion, it was renamed for Rene Fraga and the 4 was renumbered 1532.
