Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 18, p. 121. See also United States General Staff, Military notes on Cuba (Washington, DC: US Government Printing Office, 1909), p. 450. Works number was 13068 in December 1892.

At the time of this locomotive's delivery, the Santa Catalina was located in Yaguajay, Cuba. According to the 1909 Military Notes, Central Catalina was located eight miles northwest of Yaguajay on the Narcisa Railroad in a barrio named Ceibabo. The Central took its water from the Santa Rosa river.
