Juncos Central 2-6-0 Locomotives in Cuba

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Mr Roig (Locobase 13030)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 29, p. 242. Works numbers were 29663-29664 in December 1906.

Much had changed in Cuba since 1881, but the specification for a Mogul locomotive for sugar operations obviously had a limited range. So the two (Rayo was #3's name) that arrived in early 1907 had the same dimensions as the engine described in Locobase 11818, although the boiler was pressed a little harder.
