Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 14 (Locobase 13037)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 29, p. 262 Works numbers were 29971 in January 1907; 30351, 30530 in March; and 30575 in April.

The J & SF was a 42-mile long standard-gauge railroad that crossed the Island of Cuba from Jucaro on the south coast to Estero on the north. Along the route, the four Moguls in this batch were required to scale 2% grades and negotiate 12-degree (315-ft/96-m radii) curves.

It was succeeded in organizational life by Del Norte y del Sur and by 1912 was reorganized again as the Jucaro & Moron.
