Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 101 (Locobase 14930)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 64 p. 406. Works number was 53574 and 53586 in August 1920.

West India Sugar Finance Corporation bought these two oil-burning plantation Moguls, which were delivered to Centrales Alto Cedro in Oriente Province and Santa Ana. The 102 was later sold to the Central Tinguaro. Their design had a longer than usual stroke for sugar 2-6-0s.

A "Hereafter"note dated June 1924 stipulated that all future Baldwins bought by WISFC would be delivered with Walschaert outside constant-lead radial valve gear.
