Class 509 (Locobase 14922)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 64, p 363. Works number was 54321 in January 1921.

This oil-burning addition to the TSC's motive power stud displays the unusual feature of being a little lighter than the earlier two coal-burning plantation Moguls of 1916 (Locobase 12760). Its engine number was also 504 integers higher than the 5's.
