Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Vol 64, p. 132. Works number was 53955 in November 1920.
This engine was originally ordered by the Central San Cristobal as one of a pair, but the pair was then resold to San Germán, which took one of them but allowed the other to be diverted to the Southern Sugar Company for their Central Union. The CU was located near Santiago in Oriente Province at the town of San Luis.
