This oil-burning plantation Consolidation was ordered as one of a pair by the CN, which sold the other one to the Central Miranda (Locobase 14923). The 3 remained with this mill, which presented a profile that included 1 1/4% grades and curve radii as tight as 461 feet (140.5 metres).

A plantation Consolidation, this engine was later sold to another plantation line, the Central Obdulio Morales.

Although lettered for the Caibarien a Moron, the Lina originally served on this oddly gauged Central., which ran on 40-lb/yard (20-kg/metre) rails, scaled 2-3% grades and curves as tight as 24 degrees curvature (74 metre/242-ft radii). A note in the specs says that the engine was to be designed to allow conversion to the 3-foot gauge later if necessary. Locobase notices that the boiler tubes were to be electrically welded in the back tube sheet and that the firebox was to be set "above back frame rails so all staybolts can be repaired without removing slab frames."
