Danish State 0-4-0 Locomotives in Denmark

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class N (II) (Locobase 4002)

Data from WilliamBay, Danmarks Damplokomotiver (1977).

Based on the N class that came just before and was reclassed N (I) in 1893, this class had two sub-groups. The first batch of six came from Esslingen in 1886. The last three were originally delivered to the Kalvehavebanen (KB) by Esslingen in 1897.

All except N 186 were scrapped in the 1920s and early 1930s. N 186 was sold in 1937 to Rangerstationen Valby. Sold again in 1965, it ultimately settled at the Aalholm Automobile Museum in 1984.
