Estate Quisqueya 2-4-0 Locomotives in the Dominican_Republic

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Seth (Locobase 12566)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 19, p 2. Works numbers were 13774 in September 1893, 13906 in January 1894, 14242 in March 1895, 18370 in November 1900, and 19691 in November 1901

Unlike the 1894 Ouija trio, which also operated in the Dominican Republic and are described in Locobase 12078, the Quisqueya engine burned "hard coal". The two designs differed only in the higher boiler-pressure setting of the 1901 "Seth".
