Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Planatito (Locobase 14480)

Data from DeGolyer, Vol 54, p. 245. Works numbers were 44062-44063 in September 1916.

These plantation Moguls were bought by the Bartram Brothers. At the time of their purchase, Consuelo was the biggest single sugar producer in the "Santo Domingo counsular district". From its base in Macoris District, the plantation generated 220,500 bags of sugar in 1916-1917.

The Planatitos and the Cachena had one of the smallest superheater installations possible. It was described as a top-header, double-loop system with smaller than usual diameters for the flues. The drier steam was admitted to the cylinders through 6" (152 mm) piston valves.
