Class 2 (Locobase 14011)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 44, p. 248 and Vol 54, pp.242- 253. Works numbers were 39008 in January 1913, 39688 in April 1913, 41530 in July 1914, 43346-43347 in May 1916, 44236 in October, and 44486-44487 in November.

This little Moguls were ordered by the Guanica Centrale, a sugar processor located in Puerto Rico. But they were delivered across the strait to the Central Romana in the DR. The cane was grown on La Romana acreage, but shipped across to the Guanica Centrale overnight to be processed the next morning.

The first 5 and 6 were lost in the wreck of the SS Yuma in mid-1916, although boxes 9-16 were saved and returned to Baldwin so their contents could be incorporated in the second 5 & 6, which were completed in late 1916.
